St Thomas Aquinas Bowral Wedding

What an amazing wedding with Annaliese and James at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Bowral and reception at the Gibraltar Hotel!

I started the day with James at his parents’ house and the guys were so much fun to be around. They’re a close group of mates so there were lots of laughs. Annaliese and the girls were getting ready at the Gibraltar Hotel and it was the same fun and good times with her close friends. They all LOVED seeing her in the wedding dress for the first time – such a great reaction.

It was then off to the ceremony at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Bowral. It’s a lovely sized church and has great natural light so makes my work much easier. The laughs and smiles continued through the ceremony and it was really nice getting lots of candid photos outside the church after the ceremony.

It was off to Gibraltar for the reception but we stopped at an iconic Bowral shop on the way. It’s an old antique shop on the main street and has beautiful ivy draped and rambling over massive wooden doors. So it makes for an awesome backdrop for photos.

At Gibraltar we got into golf carts and headed out on the course. There’s a number of great locations and the fields that have a nice ‘country’ look are one of my favourites. The light was amazing and with such a happy group it was a breeze to get some great photos.

Back at the hotel the reception room was all set up and the tables looked amazing. I covered the speeches and dancing… and we got some sunset photos in too! All in all an awesome day.
